- GETTING STARTED
-
-
- WELCOME.
-
- Thank you for using EASY RENTER. You will find this software
- very easy to use. However, we are providing this user manual to
- assist you in using the program. Please call or write
- us with your comments or suggestions.
-
- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
-
- EASY RENTER can run on all 100% IBM compatible, including the IBM
- PC, XT, and AT models. It requires DOS versions 2.1 or higher.
- Your "CONFIG.SYS" file should allow at least 20 files to be open
- (see your DOS manual).
-
- INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.
-
- EASY RENTER can run on a floppy disk system, but we recommend that
- you install it on your hard drive. To install the software enter
- the program disk into the "A" drive and type install, then press
- the enter key. At this time, a new sub-directory called "RENTER"
- will be created and all files needed to run the software will be
- copied into the new sub-directory. Then enter "GO" to start the
- program.

- PROGRAM SET-UP.
-
- Before you start building renter records with Easy Renter, You
- should first go to the Update Menu and choose OPTION-4. There are
- up to 16 four character fields to describe features for residential
- properties (ROOM, BATH, STOV, ETC), and 16 four character fields to
- describe features for non-residential properties (SQFT, PARK, AIR,
- ETC). You should also define titles for any four dates you would
- like to keep. See Renter System Options in this manual for other
- system options.

- You can enter the Database Menu by selecting option-1 under

- Use this option when you need to edit a renter's
- record. Every field except the renter number
- can be updated. If this field was allowed to be
- edited duplicate renter numbers may exist within the
- system. You must enter the five digit renter number
- to access a renter's record.

- OPTION-3 --- BROWSE RENTER RECORD.
-
- Use this option when you need to browse a renter's
- record. No information about the renter can be
- edited. You must enter the five digit renter number
- to access a record.

- OPTION-4 --- DELETE RENTER RECORD.

- Use this option to delete a renter's record. You
- must enter the five digit renter number to access a
- renter record. This option will only mark the record
- for deletion. You can still unmark the record from
- deletion any time before you select the "UPDATE
- SYSTEM FILE" option from the Update Menu.
